Must start training for AHM07. Two more week to train only. Thank God for my back is almost healed now. But still afraid to do LSD. I will do BG run this Sun to see how my body feels. I will use my new adistar control 4 to do the run.

Have sign up for this year full marathon too! Still dunno got time to train or not! Not really sure want to sign up for Real run07 or not. $30 seem to be too much for the run. Inflation seem to be normal. But I guess have to think twice this time since there is so many race around the year.

Life after pacesetter

Finally had completed my first ever oversea race. To finish 3hr8min for the 30km route is somehow scary to me. Firstly never run the route before. Don't know how many slope is there? Secondly running in pitch dark area not knowing whether you will trip onto something. Thirdly have the feeling of getting cramp on my thigh soon. Thank God that my tummy din give my any problem. However did enjoy the crowd around me. But not the slope at the last 10k. No time to train for this run is the main reason for this timing. Nevermind, there is always next year.

Meanwhile have to concentrate on my Navy Biathlon training now. And of course target to cut down my weight. Target for sweet sixty-four. 'trying to imagine my six-pack' Dream-on!

Cell group gathering

Today come back home early after work. My thoughts after the marathon

My feelings now after the marathon on Sunday...... A bit confused, a bit disappointed but still is a joy to take part in is event and complete it.

Confused??? Because don't quite understand my body! Why I got cramp? Why happen at 33k mark? I never thought it would happen to me. Could that be my wall?

Disappointed! Because I didn't achieve my target. I won't feel so bad if not because of the cramp. Sigh!

Joy is for sure! Because this year my dear Sus is joining me in this event for the first time. Meeting up with most of the Sgrunners to fellowship is fun too. Got chance to share my experience with rest of them.

Lesson learned after the marathon:

If have cold during the last two days and follow by 3x diarrhea in the last day, don't push too hard during the race.

Lost too much salts through sweat! Must take salt tablet next time before such event.

Maintain a easy pace during the first half of the race.

Need more training under hot sun!

I guess there is always next year to try again. Mean time will let my cramp recovered fully. Then will start my training again for the year end Ultra-marathon. Once again prayed that everything will goes on smoothly.

Sgrunner Group photo

My new toy: Saucony Grid Stabil MC 5Size 9.5

I was there with meteor at 7:15am. Upon reaching the visitor carpark, all parking lots were taken. Therefore I just park anywhere. Minutes later TLR, Penguin, FD and Taz appear. Was pleased to see them there. We then proceeded to the start point venue. By then the crowd got bigger. More sgrunners started to appear from nowhere. This time I got to know more sgrunner members. Was surprised to meet one of my poly life-saving instructor who coached me 12 years back. He is also one of the sgrunners too.

This year I felt that the Real Run was much tougher than the last one. Maybe the crowd was getting bigger, harder to overtake people now. The morning sun was quite hot for me too. But all I know was to try my best to run. I also felt that my first 5k was a little bit fast. Therefore more tiring towards the sand part. Eventually toward the last 2 to 3k I think I slow down bit giving opportunity for people to overtake me. And because of the hot morning sun I felt more thirsty than ever. I was surprised to see a lady overtake me during the last 1k mark. I thought was carine but later I found out it wasn't her. This lady must be one of the top 10 I guess. Overall I didn't quite enjoy this run but I think did was meeting up with all the sgrunner members. And also running together with meteor is a dream that come through. And for this I really thank god for it.

Today walking to the HSBC tree top walk at Macritchie is fun but aching for the leg. Never been there twice in the same day. In morning I was there running with the mr25 club people. Suppose to run my 25km but end up doing 16km instead.

The journey to the Tree top walk was long. Benneth, Sabrina, Susan and I met at the cafe and we started walking from the south entrance where the zigzag bridge is located. I choose this road cos is a much shorter route there. The time was 2:30pm when we started. End up reaching there about 25min before 5pm before it closes. We come back to our start point about 6:25pm. The whole journey took us about 4hour to completed. It was tiring but fun. The most difficult part I guess is the steep slope just before the entrance to the tree top.
